Artist statement

I am currently a student at Western Kentucky University studying photojournalism. I hope to start working at a local newspaper after I graduate. I hope to then be able to freelance with a focus on social advocacy with a side interest in nature photography. I want to show the problems that humans create for others, including domestic abuse, corrupt childcare system, and more. I want to be an advocate for those who cannot stand up for themselves. I would like to end up not only working free-lance but with non-profit organizations as well. I have always loved photography as well as helping people, I just hope that my photographs will have a positive impact on society.
